Club Refurbishment
The Committee is delighted to advise that the lounge and lobby areas of the Club have now been newly redecorated to make it fresher and more attractive. Shades of green were chosen to provide a calm ambience together with a little character whilst sitting comfortably with the existing shades of upholstery and carpeting. The decorators engaged worked only during those times the Club was closed to avoid disruption to our members. Although a considerable expense much appreciation goes to three of our members who between them met the cost in full.
Keeping the Club facilities and equipment in good order, whilst keeping membership, bar prices and other costs as low as possible, continues to be a financial challenge. One looming expense is the need to replace some existing timber window frames which are rotting with new UPVC double glazed units, so If there are any members who would be prepared to make a contribution to this, of whatever amount, or to any other future work or purchases required by the Club, please let the Secretary know. All contributions would be most welcome and can be recognised or anonymous as preferred.
